Education Excursion

Almost 300 students from classes 7, 8 and 9 standard with three teachers visited Krishi Vigyan Kendra ;Assam Agricultural University on 18.11.2023 .
After reaching there , Principal incharge of that institute welcome very greet fully and assured us that whatever thing is available there , would be shown to the children . Two guides was attached to us who had shown the whole university covering 4 to 5 acres of land including different activities going on there. We visited different parts of the university with Guides and they explained how the farming is going on , about different crops ,vegetative propagation ,tools used in harvesting , vermi compost used in the farming ,different types of flower production etc . This is a place where not only production is going on , side by side different people is coming for asking agriculture related questions , to purchase seeds , compost etc. Literally speaking , those people are educating people of neighbouring villages about agriculture related aspects . Children are very happy knowing so many things about the food they eat ; the way it grows and cultivated . Students were provided a refreshment which made them more happy as they were tired after moving towards a large area .
